Court of Protection/Receivership

The Court of Protection was set up for the protection of people who are unable to manage their own affairs due to mental incapacity.

If you are aware that someone you know may no longer be capable of managing their own affairs then please come and talk to us and we may be able to assist.

The services which we provide include:-

  • The registration of Lasting Powers of Attorney.
  • Applications to appoint a Receiver i.e. someone close to the incapacitated person who is in a position to act on their behalf.
  • The management of a person's assets and liabilities.
  • Liaison with the Court of Protection and securing any Orders which may from time to time be required including the disposal and investment of assets and securing of income for dependent persons.
